Dangerous weather

With storm season upon us I would like to clarify for everyone our dangerous weather policy. Your committee and Proshop receive alerts when there are lightning strikes close to our course. If and alert is received, play will be suspended for a minimum of 30mis to let the danger pass.

I know that this can be frustrating to all members on the course, but it is for your protection. Whilst a lot of us live for golf, its not worth dying for.

Greens rennovations…our thanks to Dad’s Army and the Greens’ staff.

Following the Championships Dad’s Army (led by Ken Wark) and our Course Superintendent (Shane Dawson) and his team spent Monday and Tuesday coring and sanding the Greens. This was hard work but a fantastic effort by all involved. If we get some rain in the next few days the Greens will repair very quickly and be running true once again very soon.

Thanks to Dad’s Army for their great work with the Greens renovations…..

I know that Dad’s Army do much around the course but following the championships on Monday and Tuesday the Dad’s Army folks worked with the Course Superintendent (Shane Dawson) and his team to core and sand the Greens. This was a fantastic effort. My thanks to Ken Wark (who leads the work) and the dedicated others who volunteer their time. Outstanding work by all involved.
