MiScore App Features

Calculate and submit scores, measure distance, track time played and view leaderboards. MiScore is loaded with helpful features that make scoring effortless and enjoyable. Whilst containing many useful features, MiScore is designed to not hinder the flow of the game. Score entry is simple and can be completed in a matter of seconds. We recommend placing mobile devices on silent mode, or do not disturb, whilst scoring to avoid unnecessary distraction.

Automatic Score Tally and Score Comparison

Save time with our automated score tally. Enter your gross scores and MiScore will calculate results based on handicap and course index.

The automatic results calculation reduces human error and confusion in scoring. This leaves more time to focus on the game! Don’t waste time at the end of a round worrying if you’ve added up all the scores correctly. If there is a mis-match between you and your marker’s score, the app will identify which hole has the mismatch and a quick cross-reference is all that is required.

GPS Distance Measurement

Before taking your shot, you can observe your distance in metres from the pin, a bunker, or the middle of the green. This value is available from the top right of the score entry screen.

Tapping the distance button from the score entry screen will take you to the interactive GPS distance map. From there, tap any point on the map to measure distances from your location.

Round Timer and Pace of Play

MiScore has a useful round timer on the top left of the score entry screen. This helps golfers stay mindful of playing time between holes and encourages an appropriate pace of play.

Digital Signature

Confirm scores with an on-screen digital signature at the end of your round. This eliminates the need to swap physical scorecards.

Using a mobile device to confirm scores allows you to conveniently submit your score from anywhere in the facility. The course, the bar, or even your car. Just confirm with your partner, then sign away and press a button to submit.

Screen Saver

Save precious phone battery while you play! The MiScore screen saver activates after 30 seconds of no phone contact. With a single tap on the screen you can open back to the score entry interface and continue scoring without having to unlock your phone.

Face Masks

Face Masks

Great news, from tomorrow, Friday 29th October, it is no longer necessary to wear a face mask while outdoors, including on the golf course.

However, please ensure that you still bring your mask to the golf course as it remains necessary to wear your mask while in the Pro Shop or in the club (except while eating or drinking).

We ask that all members still continue to follow good social distancing and personal hygiene practices, and continue to comply with COVID-19 restrictions that are in place – particularly indoor capacity and mask wearing requirements.

Member Update 27 October – membership dues…..

Member Update 27 October – membership dues…..

Members

Just for those yet to pay their membership dues, the 30th of October is fast approaching. We are running regular reports on where the number of renewals are up to and on Monday the count was 384 out of around 720. Noting that we have had a month longer to pay, if you haven’t paid by the 30th you will loose access to the timesheets. If you are having problems, email Katie at the club who will help you with your issue. Katie’s email is Katie.tessier@ainsliegroup.com.au. Don’t loose access to the system and the incentives available because you are late paying your subs.

Friday afternoon chook run

Friday afternoon chook run
Daylight Savings means Friday afternoon golf is back!

With the arrival of warmer weather and longer days we are running a nine hole yellow tee competition which commenced Friday 22 October, and will continue throughout the daylight savings period.
This will be a handicapped competition (in accordance with relevant requirements for handicapping 9 hole events). Daily prizes are on offer and entry fee is $10.00, with tee times available from 2:00pm onwards. As with other events, bookings will open a week in advance at 7pm each Friday.

What better way to lead in to the weekend than with a quick round of competition golf followed by a drink afterwards in the club. We would love to see lots of our members get out and enjoy the course and camaraderie.

In conjunction with the Chook Runs, there will be a 9-hole Championship Shoot Out. This event sees players aiming to be one of the 10 players qualifying for the final round Championship round to be held on 26 March 2022. An additional one-off entry fee of $5.00 is required to enter the 9 hole Championship. Qualifying for the final will be determined by best three round aggregate stableford scores from all Chook Run events played.

The final round is an elimination style event, with one player being knocked out per hole until we are left with two players battling it out on the 9th hole to take the victory. This is designed to be a fun and different afternoon for all involved, with a few quirks to the usual match play style of golf. Further details of the event and associated rules will be available prior to final round. This was a great event last summer, with members enjoying the social atmosphere.

Entry forms for the 9 hole Shoot Out will be available outside the golf office. Please submit your $5.00 with your completed entry form into the red box.
