Irrigation works

Irrigation works
This is a new update to the recently published update for all members in relation to the irrigation upgrades around the course.
Irrigation works around the left hand bunker on the 2nd hole have been completed. Today, the extension of the irrigation system on the 12th on the left hand side of the fairway – above, as well as on the green side of the fairway bunker has been completed and is operational.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) Waterland will be moving to the 15th fairway – this will see more sprinklers being put into the rough on both sides of the fairway.
For safety purposes WEDNESDAYS COMP AND SOCIAL PLAY WILL SEE THE 15TH HOLE CLOSED. AS IT IS A STABLEFORD COMPETITION YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO POST 2 POINTS FOR THE HOLE. Tee markers will be removed and there is to be no play on the hole
Check the local rules which allows for nearest point of relief if you are in irrigation trenches or associated works (including tyre tracks from heavy machinery)
Please make sure everyone playing the course follows signage as 15 and 16 may change where the tee boxes are in the coming days to protect the workers.

With regard to the CSGA Canberra Shield the 15th will be shortened to a par 3. We have been advised that this is allowable under the guidelines of matchplay and is deemed fair and reasonable for that format.

I apologise for the mixed messaging – miclub needed more time to make the necessary adjustments that I alluded to earlier.
