Development application – GLGC Cart shelter

Development application – GLGC Cart shelter

A Development Application has been lodged by Ainslie Group with the ACT Government, for the construction of a carport type structure to house and charge 40 electric golf carts. The 28.5 m x 8.5 m open structure will have a skillion roof of colorbond, laminated with insulation, and providing overhead drop down charging cables, and will be located on the existing golf cart site.

The structure is being prefabricated interstate, before being transported and erected on site by Absolute Outdoor Constructions. The plumbing will be undertaken by GLGC sponsor Waterland, and the electrical installation by GLGC member Brad Finnigan. There will be minimal if any impact on golfers during the construction phase.
The project is jointly funded by Simon Patterson, CEO of Ainslie Group, Simon Houston, GLGC Golf Professional and an ACT Government grant. Many thanks for their support, which will benefit GLGC members and visitors.
I shall keep you advised of progress.
