Australia Day Cup
The full results of the Australia Day Cup can be viewed from the Major Events page.

GLGC Senior Classic (a stableford event for Men 55 +) is the next major event in our Calendar on Friday 14 March. The Entry form can be also be found on the Major Events page.

Changeover to the Slope System
It appears that the changeover to the new handicap system has progressed smoothly so far with the Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) for the Men being 71 over the past two rounds as opposed to the previous static ACR of 73.  The DSR will change depending on the results of the day.  One important element of the new system to remember is to return your score card whenever you play regardless of your score or you will be deemed “No Score- Not Approved”.

Players who have 5 or more “No Score- Not Approved” entries in their last 20 rounds will be automatically downgraded by Golflink to a Provisional GA handicap.
Players with a Provisional GA Handicap will be eligible to play in competition fields, but they will not be eligible to win prizes. See full details

GolfLink Offline

GolfLink Offline

GolfLink.com.au will be offline from the 20th until late afternoon on the 23rd of January.

Your handicap during the offline period will be that value as of the end of day 19th of January.

When Golf Link is back online at scheduled intervals on the 23rd of January, expect to see a different exact handicap which will be relabelled as “GA H’cap”.

Your GA Handicap is not used in competition play, it is used to calculate the “Daily Handicap” instead with relation to the Slope rating of the tee block in play.

Scorecards printed will automate this process and print the player’s Daily H’cap value. The leaderboards will also reference the Daily h’cap as well.

When playing away or socially, you should check your GA H’cap and use the club provided Daily Handicap Look-up chart to reference what your Daily H’cap value is.
