New handicap index from 1 January

The Match Committee has reviewed the handicap index for the Mens’ and Women’s courses using hole statistics from the previous 12 months. These changes will come into effect on 1 January to coincide with changes to the Rules of Golf.

New Rules of Golf and Update of Local Rules

On 1 January the  Rules of Golf 2016 come into effect.  Key changes relate to Rule 14-1b  Anchoring the Club, Rule 18-2 Ball At Rest Moved….  Appendix IV Devices and Other Equipment (relative to Distance Measuring Devices).

As a result our Local Rules have been updated as necessary to reflect the changes.  Go to the Literature and Links page to view the Local Rules and information about Anchoring. 

From Saturday 5 November you will receive a free copy of the Rules of Golf 2016 edition and the 2016 Club Handbook when you collect your scorecard.
